Lee Palmer and his partner Dallas Paine started the 7th and last round of the Northern Inland Pony Express Cross Country Series (NIPES) with a five point difference to the leaders Thomas Lee and Robert Frost. Lee Palmer and his partner Dallas Paine started the 7th and last round of the Northern Inland Pony Express Cross Country Series (NIPES) with a five point difference to the leaders Thomas Lee and Robert Frost. The hot and dusty race loop at Upper Horton was demanding for man and machine, and after a bad start and 4 hours of battle Lee and Dallas ended up in 3rd outright position of the race. The leader  duo of the series Lee/Frost had unexpected problems and finished in 9th position. This meant that Lee and Dallas overtook the Armidale team which had dominated the series for such a long time and won the series by one point. Congratulations boys well done!
